I wish I knew this before!

This book is a practical and heartfelt guide designed to spark positive change - within families, friendships, and the wider society.

As children, we're taught how to read and write, we learn Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. But we are never taught about our feelings. We don't learn how our brain works, or why our mind makes us feel sad, irritated, or overwhelmed. I wish that I had learned how to manage my emotions, before I got married or before I had my kids.

In this simple yet powerful journey, you'll discover:

  • How we can process and handle emotions like anger, anxiety, frustration, and fear
  • Why we think and react the way we do, and how to change it
  • How to build healthier relationships with friends, family, and yourself
  • Practical steps to overcome bullying, self-doubt, and emotional struggles

It's a practical guide that distills the wisdom of hundreds of books and documentaries, combined with insights from self-realization and lived experiences.

My vision is for it to serve as a bridge between the readers, be it friends, family or co-workers - helping both understand themselves and each other better. To be able to see each other from a different lens and perception. To be kinder, more understanding and supportive. To be able to initiate a deep conversation with empathy and compassion.

Written in a short, crisp, and visually engaging format, it's designed to help readers work together toward healthier, more connected lives.

This book is not just another parenting guide or a typical mindfulness book.

It is a Transformational Tool.

It explores friendships, bullying, emotions, feelings, practical healing tools, and supportive parenting approaches.

It empowers anyone who reads it - whether you're preparing for a relationship, planning to become a parent, or already navigating the journey of parenthood. Because how we make others feel directly shapes the strength, warmth, and harmony of our relationships.

We climb the ladder of success, only to realize we're still unhappy, anxious, or lonely. Let this book be your guide to understand how the brain, mind and emotions work, helping you take back control of your life.

So don't just add this book to your reading list and forget - buy it today. The wisdom it carries is precious, powerful, and life-changing.

Why read this book?

A bit about me - and why I wrote this book

I'm a mother of two young children. After the birth of my first child, I experienced many sleepless nights and found myself physically and emotionally depleted. That was the beginning of a personal journey - a path of self-awareness and growth - sparked by the powerful book The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

As life became even more demanding after my second child, I found myself turning to parenting books for guidance. These resources, along with my lived experiences, began to shift how I approached parenting, family life, and self-care. I also felt a deep curiosity to understand teenagers - realizing that the foundations we lay in early childhood shape the years to come.

Over time, I started noticing a pattern: many families around me were struggling emotionally, often without understanding the root causes of their challenges. Stories of bullying, anxiety, and conflict among children and teens became more common, and I felt a growing urge to contribute something meaningful - something that could help families build emotional awareness and resilience.

That's how this book came to life. It is a reflection of the insights I've gained and the tools that have helped me and my family, with the hope that it can support others too.

What people said about my book

I didn’t expect this book to touch me the way it did.

"I Wish I Knew This Before" by Minnie feels less like a parenting guide and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely understands the chaos, beauty, frustration, and magic of family life. As a parent constantly trying to juggle responsibilities while still wanting to raise kind, connected, happy kids—I felt seen in these pages.

Minnie doesn’t preach. She gently reminds us that real change in family life starts from within—with our breath, our patience, our own energy. Through stories, simple yoga techniques, and deeply spiritual insights, she helps you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and show up better for your children and partner.

What really moved me was the idea of creating a culture at home—not just rules and routines, but a space where everyone feels safe, valued, and inspired. I realized that I don’t need to be perfect; I just need to be present. And that patience, softness, and inner peace are not luxuries—they’re tools for transformation.

There were so many moments where I stopped reading, just to reflect—or even cry a little. If I’m honest, I wish someone had handed me this book years ago. But I’m grateful I found it now. It’s already changing how I speak to my son. How I handle conflict. Even how I speak to myself.

If you’re a parent, or even just someone who wants a more conscious, loving family environment, please read this. It's soulful, practical, and written with so much heart.

This lovely and easy to read book offers a wealth of practical wisdom and thoughtful insights into strengthening family connections. The author shares her personal journey of self-awareness, mindfulness, and parenting to explore everyday struggles families encounter, like emotional turmoil, bullying, and relationship tensions. By blending knowledge from diverse areas such as psychology, history, and emotional well-being, the book addresses crucial issues surrounding family life and provides guidance for cultivating deeper, more meaningful bonds. It’s an engaging read for anyone—whether a parent, teen, or someone interested in creating a more positive family atmosphere.

I haven't read a whole book in years, but this one completely broke that streak. From the very first page, I was hooked—it kept me so engaged that I always felt curious to see what the next page held. Finishing this book was, without a doubt, the best thing I did during my Christmas break.

The book is not only interesting but also offers valuable insights. The language is incredibly simple, making it easy to understand and, more importantly, easy to relate to.

What surprised me the most was the depth of the author's reading and knowledge. The way they referenced and suggested so many other books and movies was fascinating—like a window into countless other stories and worlds. This book felt like a glimpse of something bigger and has inspired me to dive into the books it mentions.

Overall, I’d highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an engaging and thought-provoking read. It’s a doorway to not only an enriching experience but also to discovering more books that could shape your perspective.
